My apologies for my extended absence. I had a family reunion almost two weeks ago that crimped my schedule. Planning and packing for it, being gone for the four days, doing a tuck-and-roll coming back and going straight back to work all left me quite drained. I didn’t even unpack my suitcase for about five days after I came back. I am very happy to report that I may have over-indulged a bit, but I didn’t gain any weight while I was there because I stayed as active as possible and even got in a little time on the exercise bike at the hotel.
Once the 3rd shift of my “tour” was done for work I had other little things to deal with at home. The number one issue was the recent invasion of ants. The rains seemed to drive them inside so I had to completely empty my bathroom and pull everything in my bedroom away from the walls in order to try and treat as much as possible. I know they haven’t quit trying to invade, we’d have to treat outside to prevent that, but at least I won’t take anymore baths with them (ick ick ick!!). But then there was laundry and cleaning and changing the sheets… *sigh*
Sunday was the first full day I had at home. No gym. No errands. I just stayed home. Unfortunately, I didn’t spend the time resting or recuperating. I spent all day doing housework. Monday I hit the gym and then went home and did… nothing. But again, I wasn’t really resting. Tuesday I did a few things and today I’m working again. Now that I’m winding down a little and have managed to finish most of the work that I needed to do but I have yet to really relax. I’m quite run down today and will really have to get a nap in at some point. Not sure when.
